Edison Green was a collaborative effort with the community, the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization and Sparky Youth Action Labs to provide site design, education and outreach and installation of stormwater BMPs for the Edison Campus. A system of rain gardens, tree trenches, and permeable paving feeds rainwater to a collection tank. This collection tank irrigates the Edison Campus football field, where over 1.4 million gallons of water are reused each year. Through community outreach we relayed student storyboards to create a logo and stormwater signage that highlights the innovative system throughout the campus.
