This project was designed and implemented through Landbridge Ecological as a demonstration of alternative streets in Minneapolis. The goal was to educate the public on the creation of greenways for pedestrians and cyclists. The perceptions of what can and can’t be done in your own front yard is only a set of standards and layout of streets. By opening up Irving as a pedestrian and bicycle friendly road many benefits come to fruition, such as a slower rate of car traffic, more space for seating and planting areas, zones that allow for play and gardening, bike fix-it stations and tiny libraries.
