At the connection channel to Lafayette Bay of Lake Minnetonka, this shoreline planting provides a staple project for shoreline restoration. Almost 200 feet of shoreline restoration was designed and implemented by our team to capture water runoff before entering the lake. The benefits include both diversity and healthy habitat, as well as an aesthetically pleasing visual for lake-goers and the homeowners in particular, providing an example for future potential of designing and managing their own lakeshore properties. The educational opportunities of providing a buffer system for lakeshores is a step by step process, creating awareness for others through example projects and visibility.
